to your door.

People before profits. Farmers, ranchers, bakers, artisan makers, and the drivers who connect them to you — every transaction inside your community. We open nationwide: explore local producers and storefronts wherever you live. Ordering opens in Oregon and Texas, and we intend to run it everywhere — each new place opens as soon as enough drivers there sign up to serve it. If that is your town, apply now.

How it works

A marketplace your neighborhood actually owns.

Three sides — the people who grow and make things, the drivers who carry them, and the neighbors who buy them. Every dollar stays with the people who grew and made it, and how far we reach is measured from the maker, not from downtown — so the farm two towns over often reaches you when nothing downtown can.

01

Browse what's actually local.

Every supplier and creator on Only Local is within delivery distance of your home — verified, photographed, and paid fairly. No drop-shippers, no aggregators, no mystery middlemen.

02

A neighbor drives it to your door.

Local routes for local drivers. Not gig-economy churn — independent contractors paid honestly, working zones they actually know.

03

Pay fairly, support your community.

People before profits. A minority woman-owned business — founded, built and run by one person, with no outside investors deciding what it becomes. 5–20% commission rather than 15–30%. Sellers keep more of what they charge, and prices stay reasonable. Independently owned. Local-first. No outside investors.

Where we deliver

Two states at launch. Browsing everywhere.

Not a delivery app. A movement.

For you

Four ways to be part of it.

Pick your role on the launch list — we'll email you when we open in your zone.

Customer

  • Shop directly from producers you can drive past on a Saturday.
  • First pick when delivery opens in your zone.
  • Real photos, real prices, real people — no algorithm-flooded feed.

Supplier — goods, food, produce

  • Farms, bakers, butchers, beekeepers, jam makers, dairies.
  • 5–20% commission by category. You keep the rest.
  • Premium storefront with your story, photos, certifications.

Creator — services, artisans, makers

  • Photographers, mobile bars, picnic setups, plant nurseries, classes.
  • Booking-first storefront so customers can inquire and reserve.
  • 5–20% commission by category, with promotional placement during launch.

Driver — deliveries

  • Drive routes inside your own neighborhood, on your own schedule.
  • Honest base pay, not algorithm-driven crumbs.
  • Fewer apps to juggle — one zone, one platform, real local relationships.

Why we're building this

Because food shouldn't travel further than the people who grew it.

This isn’t a marketplace. It’s a repair. Big delivery platforms take 15–30% from local sellers, pay drivers in algorithmic crumbs, and treat your neighborhood's data as an asset to sell to anyone who'll buy it. Only Local Co. is the opposite of that. Independently owned. Local-first. No outside investors telling us what to optimize. We answer to the people who live and work in the zones we deliver to — and that's it.

Questions

Quick answers.

Delivery opens first in two states: Oregon and Texas. From the same day Only Local is open to browse everywhere else in the country — explore makers, follow them, and sign up — with delivery still to come in those places. Pick your city on the form above and we'll tell you the day yours goes live.
Three big differences. (1) Only producers near you — no national chains, no warehouse aggregators. How far we reach scales with the size of your order. (2) Our commission runs 5–20% depending on category, against 15–30% at the big platforms, so producers keep more and prices stay reasonable. (3) Independently owned with no outside investors; we answer to the zones we deliver to.
Delivery runs statewide in Oregon and Texas from day one — towns and farms included, not just the cities. Every other state opens the same day to browse: explore local producers and storefronts, follow the ones you like, and sign up to bring delivery to your city next.
Zero up-front. No monthly fees, no contract, no exclusivity. We take a commission only on completed orders, and it runs 5% to 20% by category. Meat and livestock is tiered so a bigger order costs you less — 15% on the first $1,000, 12% on the next $1,000, 10% to $3,000, 8% to $5,000, and 5% on everything above that. Each rate applies only to its own slice of the order, so your effective rate falls smoothly as the order grows. Produce, eggs, dairy, honey, preserves, canned goods, mushrooms, nursery stock and subscriptions are 18%. Crafts, flowers and local services are 15%. Baked goods, prepared food, drinks and restaurant orders start at 20% and step down the same way — 20% on the first $150, then 17%, 14%, and 11% above $1,000, so catering is charged far less than a single loaf. Our first fifty sellers get a custom marketing packet they keep and can use anywhere, help writing their Meet the Maker page, their whole storefront built for them, and eight weeks of premier placement across their first eighteen months. Stripe pays out directly to your account.
You see the exact dollar amount of every run before you accept it, and it does not change afterwards. Base pay plus per-mile, set for your market to cover what the drive genuinely costs your vehicle. No surge-math obfuscation, no algorithm clawing rates back. 100% of customer tips go to the driver, full stop — and when one of our drivers carries it the customer’s whole delivery fee goes to that driver, with Only Local Co. keeping none of it. We earn when a producer makes a sale, not when a driver makes a delivery.
Yes — the same rate as delivery. Our commission covers the storefront, the payments, the customer relationship, and the support behind every order, not the drive. What changes on pickup is that your customer pays no delivery fee, and you keep exactly what you'd keep on a delivered order.
There is no flat fee. Delivery is quoted for your actual order at checkout — the distance it has to travel and what that drive genuinely costs a driver’s vehicle — and you see the exact figure before you pay. When one of our drivers carries it, the whole delivery fee goes to that driver and Only Local Co. keeps none of it. Where a seller or a delivery partner carries the order themselves, the fee is settled with them under their own agreement. Pickup is always free. Orders under a $20 subtotal carry a $2.00 small order fee on delivery only, never on pickup, and the app tells you exactly how much more to add to remove it. Tips are optional and go 100% to your driver.
Commission is charged to the seller on completed orders only, and it is the only thing we take. Published range: 5% to 20%.

We never take a floor amount out of a small sale. A $6 order is charged its category rate on $6 and nothing more. Delivery fees and tax are separate lines, never commission.

On meat and livestock the tiers do the protecting, and each slice of the order carries its own rate: a half beef at $2,800 is charged $350 — an effective 12.5% — and a $10,000 order works out at 7.8%, falling toward 5% as it grows. We never take a floor amount out of a small sale either. Pickup is charged the same rate as delivery, because commission pays for the storefront and the payments, not the drive.
Often yes, under your state’s cottage food law — but what you may then do with the food differs sharply by state, and this is the single most misunderstood thing on the platform.

Oregon — yes, and we can deliver it. ORS 616.723(4) lets you sell directly to the end user “in any manner, including from the home, online, through the mail and at events.” A current food handler card is a condition of the exemption, not paperwork — without one you have no exemption at all. The annual sales cap is $52,700 for 2026 and is inflation-indexed. Cottage food may not be sold to restaurants, caterers, schools, day cares, hospitals, nursing homes or correctional facilities.

Texas — yes to selling, no to us driving it. Texas HSC 437.0194(b)(1) permits delivery only by the operator, their employee, or a member of their household. A third-party courier is not allowed, and every app order is an internet sale. SB 541 (2025) removed the words “or by mail order” from that restriction rather than banning shipping, so Chapter 437 is now silent on mail — but because an app order is an internet sale, the personal-delivery condition still applies to it. A Texas cottage food operation must also be an individual or a 501(c)(3) — an LLC cannot be one. The cap is $150,000, CPI-indexed. So in Texas a cottage food seller can list and sell on Only Local Co. for pickup, and moves to delivery by upgrading to a licensed kitchen.

The upgrade is cheaper than most people expect. In Oregon an ODA Domestic Kitchen licence lifts the cap entirely. A bakery licence is tiered by your gross annual sales — $179 up to $50,000, $253 to $500,000, and up. A processor licence is a flat $223. (ODA Food Safety License Fee Schedule, FY 2026–2027.) In Texas, HSC 437.0063 (effective 1 July 2026) stops local authorities charging permit fees to a producer under $1.5M who holds a state DSHS licence.

None of this is legal advice, and your county may add its own requirements. We will tell you what applies in your state during onboarding before you list anything.
It depends on your category and your state, and the app asks for exactly what applies to you — nothing more. Broadly: everyone provides identity and payout details through Stripe. Cottage food sellers in Oregon provide a current food handler card. Licensed kitchens provide the licence. Meat and poultry are the strictest — USDA or state-inspected processing is required, and we ask for the establishment number. Dairy, eggs and seafood carry their own state requirements. Crafts, flowers and services need the least. Alcohol is handled separately and is not open at launch. If a document is missing or expires, your listings pause rather than quietly going out of compliance.
